Sonoma / San Fran

Still catching up from our recent vacay. So much fun and was great to get away from work and reality for a bit and sip on some yummy vino!
We did lots of site seeing in San Francisco too... Rode on a double-decker tour bus, saw golden gate beidge, went to Pier 39 and Fishermans wharf, Ghirardelli  Square (and had to splurge on dessert!), and of course spent a few days in Sonoma.
Some of the wineries we visited were Benziger Family Winery, Gloria Ferrer, Chateau stJean, Ledson, Kunde and Deerfield Ranch.
Our favorite restaurant in Sonoma was The Girl and the Fig. It was absolutely AMAZING!! Best dinner ever!!
As always... I'll leave you with some pics.

Presley Rose is TWO!!!

Two years ago today my sweet baby girl was born! I'm pretty sure I'm still working on her baby book and she's def not a baby anymore!! We had her barnyard-theme party last weekend with a huge turnout of 42 people!! It was great. Petting zoo, huge bouncing tarp, tractor ride, pumpkin patch, etc. It was perfect!
Today, ironically, we went to 2 other birthday parties. (Hubby was avoiding her party today because the Texas vs OU game is huge and he figured nobody would come! Haha.
Asher is in soccer again this season and he loves it. We're putting Presley in dance in January! So exciting!
My mom has moved back from Scotland and I couldn't be happier! She was supposed to be there for 3 years and it turned into 1.5 years instead!! Yay!!! I'm so thankful that we got to visit while they were there!
Here are recent pics...

Almost summertime!!

It's already in the 90s here! Yeow!!! I feel like we only got a glimpse of spring this year. I love having Presley home from daycare with me every day and I still work quite a bit during her nap times. It's a crazy schedule but it seems to work. I'm looking into maybe doing a Mother's Day out program for her in September that way I can get a little bit more done since her nap times are dwindling.
Easter was great. My dad and sisters family came in town and stayed with us for a few days and then we all all drove down to San Antonio for the wedding and Easter festivities. Lots of fun.
Asher has two more Saturday morning soccer games for the season, we just got his team pictures and they turned out super cute!
Mike and I just booked a trip to San Francisco and October-- this time we're going to head up Sonoma. We've been to San Fran quite a few time and we love every time.
Both of my parents turn 60 this year so it's a big year for birthdays!!! My mom, my sister, my sister-in-law and myself are all going to Las Vegas to celebrate my mom's 60th!! It'll be an amazing girls trip!! I'm on was the Beatles so we are going to see Cirque du Soleil show LOVE. And of course do lots of shopping eating,  drinking and spa time! Can't wait!!

My favorite soccer boy!! ⚽️

Pure love!!!!

Bluebonnet sweetheart.

Bluebonnet pics! So handsome!

Work & Life update!

I just got approved to work part time hours at my 'day' job. I'm super stoked and excited that I'll have more time for my night job during the day, which in the end will free up my nights! Does that even make sense?! 😂🎉👍 I'm super excited, none the less!!!
The weather is getting sunnier and warmer, I love the spring time! I just bought Presley's Easter dress and then realized that we won't even be in town for Easter! We're headed to Austin for my cousins wedding. Oh well, it'll be fun family times.
My mom comes in town today to finalize her house purchase. They are building a new house in Plano, about 35 min away from me! They plan to move back from Scotland officially in July! I'm stoked!!!!! she'll be here 1.5 weeks this visit. Even though we just saw her in Scotland/London I can't wait to see her again and help pick out fun house stuff! A few recent pics...

Scotland, Oh Scotland!!

Scotland was amazing!! We flew from London to Aberdeen and it was only an hour and 15 minutes. Not too shabbs. We went straight to my mom/step dads flat and unpacked, got the tour, had snaks and relaxed. Their flat is so perfect, and quaint--great for the 2 of them!

Cheers!!

We had reservations at a nice restaurant all the nights we were there. Lots of eating and drinking... But that's what a vacation without kids is all about, right? 🍷🎉🍷
I won't spell out each of the 6 days in Scotland but overall it was so awesome! We went to the casino one night, golf course happy hour on the ocean, visited Dunnattor Castle,

Leave it to my mom to have the most awesome rain boots with ribbons that match her jacket. Adorbs AND I love this pic!!! 😉💛

walked the downtown area (LoTS of walking the whole trip, actually!!!)!, shopped and had afternoon tea,

toured a distillery,

and also took a train to Edinburgh and spent one night there. In Edinburgh we went to the castle,

stayed at an amazing bed & breakfast -- http://www.the-salisbury.co.uk -- we had a gorgeous upgrades suite room. They have a super nice restaurant connected to the hotel and they just so happened to have a 'wine pairing 5 course dinner' that night. We couldn't pass it up. It was SO delicious and I might have drank the equivalent of 2 bottles of wine myself that night! Bonkers!

The breakfast the next morning was great and then we headed back on the train back to Aberdeen. The views of the countryside, hills, sheep and ocean were truly breathtaking!
