Lately...

Whew, glad I finally finished that photo challenge. Not sure I'll do that again!! ha!

Anyhow, things have been great recently! Lots of activities keeping us busy. The long Memorial Day weekend was filled with swimming, shopping, food, and family!

Friday Mike & I got out of work a few hours early!! Sweet! We went to Mike's dads house to go swimming and then to dinner with our neighbors. The pool water was pretty chilly. Mike got in and swam for a bit but Asher & Mommy weren't having much of it so we watched and put our feet in a bit.

Saturday we it was a million degrees outside so we decided to go to the Allen Outlet Mall with Mike's mom. Whew...it was HOT! We lathered Ash in sunscreen and made the best of it. Of course Mike's mom bought A new clothes since he is growing non-stop!!! Score! Saturday night we went to my mom's house for a cookout for Mike's birthday. It was super delish and fun. Sunday we went back to Mike's dads house to swim again. This time the water was actually warm and Asher loved it.

Last Monday was Mike's birthday. We had a fun time celebrating and going out to his favorite local restaurant. It's a pretty nice restaurant but since we went at 5:30 on a Wednesday we figured we could take our sweet bebe! Asher did great and actually slept the whole time! :)

We had crazy t-storms and tornadoes in our area last Tuesday. It was pretty frightening. Mike came home from his 'guys night out' early because the tornado sirens were going nuts and it was UGLY outside! He came home and we decided to get Asher out from his crib and into the bathtub. We all huddled in there for about an hour. Asher went in his bassinet (that he barely fits in!!) and fell right back asleep. We kept the lights off and had the mattress ready too! It was pretty frightening! So glad we were all okay and that we didn't have any damage! It's unbelievable what damage tornadoes can do. People lose their lives just like that...so incredibly sad!!! I'm still praying for the families that were effected by the recent Oklahoma & Kansas tornadoes. :(

Mike, Asher & I went to our city's Founders Day Festival last Saturday. Super fun with lots of vendors, food and fun. Well, I didn't take any pics so I just now 'google imaged' "Rockwall Founders Day" and this pic pulled up. HOW BOUT that's MY hubby in the background in the red shirt!!! TOo funny! He hates being on the internet so, of course, I had to show him!!! hehehe. How random?!?! Anyway, I'm glad they took pics or I wouldn't have been able to complete this photo challenge! ;)

Happy Mothers Day!!!

Ahhhh, Mothers Day is the BEST!!!! I had such a great time celebrating with my amazing mom & wonderful mom-in-law!!! AND most of all with my Sweet One!!! I can't believe I'm a MOM...it's THE best feeling ever!

Yesterday Mike & Asher went shopping in the afternoon. They came home with TWO dozen pink roses that Asher picked out for ME! hehe. So cute! Today Mike was so sweet to make me a DElish brunch that included biscuits, gravy, potatoes, bacon, etc.. He gave the most amazing card and a spa-day gift card. Seriously, I can't WAIT!!!! I love the memories we made this weekend. Here are a few snapshots...

Saturday morning Asher rolled over for the 1st time!!!!! YAY! It's the little things in life, right!?!? ;) I put him down for his morning nap and went back about 10 minutes later to check oh him and this is how I found him... He's growing SO fast!!!!

Saturday afternoon my dad & stepmom, Dawn, had a 2 hour layover in Dallas. Perfect time to see them for a quick bit. It was great.
