Yoga, kids & Spring!!!

Last weekend I went on a girls weekend yoga trip to East Texas. It was a.m.a.z.i.n.g!!!! We went 2 years ago and loved it so much!! My great friend & neighbor, Timarie is a certified yoga instructor and she taught all of the classes and was the host with another Pilates instructor. It was so relaxing and rejuvenating. We drank lots of wine at night and did lots of yoga during the day. They made us super health meals and snacks. It was my first weekend away from Presley. And Mikes first time with both kids overnight, solo! The kids did great!!
Presley is 5 months old and is growing like a weed! She loves her bumbo seat and watches her brother run around the house and just giggles at him!! It's adorable!
Asher is still battling his asthma (even though the docs won't call it that). He's on nebulizer breathing treatments, what seems like, year round! Poor baby!! :( he never acts sick and it doesn't phase him but I still feel so bad. Ugh.
Spring time is here!! I'm loving the weather already! We play outside all the time now and it stays brighter later, I love it!!! Lots of birthday parties on the weekends and getting ready for Easter. No plans other than church since my mom is in Scotland :( and we usually have dinner at her house. I got Presley's Easter basket in from pottery barn kids. We have an Easter egg hunt (5,000 eggs!!!) in my neighborhood that I'm helping put together. It'll be super fun, as always! I'm excited for Asher to actually participate in the egg hunt--we'll have to practice ahead of time so he can get some good loot!! Ha!

Zoo!!

Our neighbors (and great friends) invited us to the zoo last weekend. They have 2 boys and all have season passes to the Dallas Zoo. We've never taken Asher because he is *seriously* SUPER afraid of dogs. Any size, even if they don't bark. He will shake and scream his head off in fear. It's horrible to see, but needless to say that is why we haven't taken him to the zoo. We talked to him before we went and he seemed very excited about all be animals. We were so thankful that he REaLLy enjoyed it!!! His favorites were the otters, elephants, giraffes and lions. We had a great time and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!!!
Presley did perfect and loved to watch all of the action from the stroller. Great day and we'll definitely be going back!!!

Time flies again!

Presley is now 4.5 months and has been rolling over from front to back for about a month now. She holds her head up like a champ and loves to be in the seated position. (Bumbo, carseat, etc). She is staying home with me during the days which is so wonderful! I'm seriously loving every minute of it!! We started Asher in daycare at 3 months so I'm new to this aspect. She sleeps like a champ (like her brother & mama), generally goes to bed at 8:30 or 9p and wakes up at 930a. Asher is still on his 8p--8:30a schedule so it's seriously perfect!
Asher is talking up a storm these days!! I love it! I kept thinking he was delayed but ever since he bumped into the 2-3yr old class at school he's been doing so great!! I'm hoping I can lean on them to potty train him too!! Wishful thinking, right?! Ha!! Anyway, our weekends are full of fun. Last weekend we went to Oklahoma City to visit my family, weekend before that we went to the World Aquarium and before that my mom & stepdad came in town from Scotland!! So great to see them! We are starting to plan our trip to visit them hopefully later this year!! (Minus the kiddos) and I can't wait!!!
What else....I decorated the house for valentines day even though we didnt get a babysitter to do anything. We actually picked up subway for dinner that night!! Ha!! Oh the joys of having 2 babies, but I'm def not complaining! I wouldn't have it any other way!! 😉🎉 now I need to get our my Easter stuff! Can't wait to dig out all my bunnies, eggs & the matching adorable PBK Easter baskets for the kiddos!! 🐰🐰🐰

3 months

Presley turned 3 months a few days ago. She's still sleeping next to my bed in the bassinet and I'm tempted to move her upstairs soon! I'm hesitant because she twists & turns in the early morning and I usually just soothe her with a pacifier and...lets be honest...I'm real lazy and it's much easier to roll over and out a paci rather than walk upstairs. Anyway, it'll come soon but I love having her next to me. So I might just wait till she outgrows the bassinet. 😊
She's been smiling (on purpose) a ton recently and also a few giggles too! I love her gummy smiles!! She's holding up her head pretty sturdy and likes sitting in the bumbo for about 5-7 minutes at a time.
The weather was gorgeous on Thursday and Friday last week so we took a neighborhood stroll. Presley loved it. My mom handmade Presley's dedication gown, bonnet & booties that she'll wear to church for her dedication. I've been trying it on Presley ever 2 weeks or so to see when it'll fit. The bonnet is a bit big but I think the dress is about to fit! So I'll be planning her dedication soon! So excited!! Kinda funny that we're planning it around when her dress will fit her! Ha! Well, that's all for now!!

Happy NY!!

Can't believe it's already the New Year!!! So many changes recently!! Presley is growing like crazy. She has been sleeping ALL the way through the night since be was 8.5 weeks!!! Heaven!!! It's amazing!! She'll usually go to bed around 9 or so and wake up at 8 or 9am!!! Im loving it!! I'm such a big sleeper and so is Asher! Everybody warned me that she would be the opposite since I've been so lucky with Asher's love for sleep! Ha! I'm hoping it continues!! Anyway, our Christmas was amazing and filled with lots of memories, food, church and family. Although I missed my mom (since she is in Scotland), but we had lots of fun with mikes family. New Year's Eve we had or neighbors over (with 2 boys) and we grilled outside and decorated cookies. It was fun and they left by 8p. Just in time to get our kiddos in bed and we were all sleeping my midnight. It was perfect!
Presley will be 3 months this week. She's smiling so much these days and even giggling a bit too! She still hates tummy time but we get a few minutes out of her everyday.
I went back to work on January 3rd and it was miserable & stressful just the first day! I ended up getting a call that evening from the only company that I interviewed with during my leave. I got the job!!! It's a part time position and I'll be working from home!! I'll be able to keep Presley home with me. Soooo, January 4th I went in and gave my notice to my job after 7 years. I'm SO glad to be done with the 1 hour commute each way!! I can't believe I made it 7 years! Ha! I'm super excited about this new chapter in my life!
My dad & stepmom came down for Asher's birthday party! He turned 2 on January 5th! (Can't.believe.it!!)
We had a Sesame Street themed party and hired a 'music lady' to come to our house. She was so fun! She brought lots of instruments and played lots of fun kids songs. She even passed her instruments around for the kids to play! It was perfect!

2 months!!

Time is going by so fast!! I can't believe Presley is already 2 months!! We had her well visit earlier this week and she weighs 8lbs 14oz = 10th percentile and is 22 3/4 long = 75th percentile! She's a tall little peanut. Doc said she looks perfect and she's growing at a great pace!! I was kind of nervous since I can't calculate how much she's actually eating because I'm nursing and haven't really started to pump yet. Although that will change soon once I go back to work in a few weeks. She took the shots like a champ and literally just cried for a few seconds. Her next visit is at 4 months.
Presley and Asher attended their first wedding last night! Mikes stepsister got married on 12/12/12 at her house. Her bigger wedding will be in Punta Cana in March but they wanted to have a family only ceremony here in the states to make it easier on the official documents. We were happy to be there. This weekend starts the Christmas craziness!! We have our neighborhood events including breakfast with Santa and horse drawn carriages to look at Christmas lights on Saturday. I'm helping out with both events so I'll be a busy bee, but our family also will join the fun too! Can't wait for Asher to have fun looking at the lights. He loves them!
We had a great time in California! I was totally having major anxiety before the flight since we had both kids but everything worked out great!!! We had extra seats to let Asher play and even got to bring Presley's carseat on too! The cousins had fun playing and it was great to spend lots of time with my sister at her new house along with my mom! Lots of girl time!!!
